After Dark was founded on the idea of bringing mature people together that have similar play styles and play times - namely casual play that is later at night. We have, in the past, had a rough time finding end game guilds that have raid times that start late enough that we could comfortably attend. Most raid times seem to start in the 5-7pm range, and that just didn't fit our lifestyle. A start time of 8:30 would be ideal for us and we believe there are others out there that are similar. We believe that a guild can be casual in it's approach to raiding, yet still get the job done.

We understand that people have real lives, real families, real jobs, and those all come before WoW. We don't believe in forcing people to spec a certain way, putting their character in a certain role, or requiring raid attendance. We do however look for honesty, loyalty, and integrity in our members. If you say you are going to do something (ie. sign up for a raid) then we fully expect you to show up on time, fully prepared, and put your heart in to it. In a raid you will have anywhere from 9 to 24 other AD members counting on you, so we expect you to be there for them, as they would be there for you.

Festergut Down!

As predicted we came back Monday and were able to down Festergut. What dps check this fight is! On our kill attempt we had no deaths and still only had 4 seconds to spare!

We were able to repeat our performance with a slightly different group the next night and killed him in 2 attempts with ~20 seconds left. We were flat smokin last night!

So far we have only used 10 attempts (Monday) on Putricide and I can already tell that fight is going to be a pain - but fun! After several attempts of me getting used to driving the Abom, we were getting things under control and were able to comfortable get into P2. Best attempt was ~70%. We will be going after him again this week and hope to see a kill. Stay tuned for progress on him!

Rotface down!

We were able to perfect our strat and kill Rotface last night with only one death in the last few seconds.

We moved on to Festergut and perfected our strat there too only we didn't quite have enough dps to get the job done. Execution was great, but we hit enrage at 7% three times in a row. After a little dps tweaking over the weekend I'm sure we'll go back and kill him on Monday. Stay tuned!

ICC Week One Wrap Up

It's been a busy week for the After Dark raid teams. Our 25 man team started on Tuesday night with dropping Marrowgar in 4 attempts. After that it was on to Deathwhisper where we stayed the rest of the night working out a strat for her. What great fight that is! We were all happy to see that ICC wasn't going to be the cakewalk ToC was. We ended the night with a 1.5% wipe. It was clear we had found our strat we just ran out of time.

Friday night we went back to finish the job on Deathwhisper. I reminded everyone of the things we had figured out last time and we proceeded to one shot her! Next up was the Gunship. This fight, although fun, is definitely the easiest of the 4. We had someone accidentally start it before we had talked about it and we still one shotted it. On to Saurfang....

Saurfang was a very difficult fight. We spent the rest of the night working different angles and still spun our wheels <30%. We hung it up for the night and started talking it out on our forums. This is why we are the guild we are. We communicate very well and everyone takes part in figuring things out. We came up with a solid strat on the forums and put in place last night. The end result was this in 4 attempts...



We were the second guild on the server to complete the wing (Legends was first, gratz guys!) but because we got the achievement and killed a few bosses before they did, we are the #1 ranked guild on the server!

Great job this week AD working together and making it happen. It is truly a pleasure to raid with you all and have the fun we do.
